Theoretical and Computational Biophysics

Changbong Hyeon works on problems related to biology and complex systems. Understanding how biology works at single molecule and systems levels is the main focus of his research activity. To learn physical principles governing biological phenomena he employs computations and theoretical tools based on physical chemistry and statistical physics. His research interests include self-assembly and mechanical response of biopolymers, theory for single molecule measurements, protein allostery, polymer physics, and systems biology.
